I have just returned from...
Argentina and Uruguay
This was my first-time visiting Uruguay, and I was seduced by its sweeping countryside, wild beaches, charming people and delicious food and wine. It is also home to unique luxury properties, such as Estancia Vik and Sacramonte Wine Lodge, so you can explore the country in real comfort and style. My journey then took me to northwest Argentina, a region so different from the rest of the country, with its stunning, colourful rock formations and gorges, beautiful handcrafted textiles and some of the highest vineyards in the world.
My next destination is...
Colombia
This country has so much to offer, from its colourful colonial villages and enchanting coffee region to the buzzing atmosphere of Cartagena on the Caribbean Coast; everyone always returns saying how friendly the people are. I have visited Colombia several times but am keen to explore some of the lesser-known areas, such as the vast tropical plains of Los Llanos, home to a wealth of wildlife. Not many people know that Colombia is ranked as the second most biodiverse country in the world.
